Situated in the Himalayas, Mirik is a fast developing hill station, which offers its visitors the serene Lake SumenduMirik (1.25 km long natural lake) at its centre, a number of fabulous Himalayan views and treks, and a refreshing climate that welcomes the visitor at any time of the year.

This youngest hill station of India, Mirik is a peaceful and tranquil hill resort, which is situated close to Darjeeling, but far away from the hustle and bustle of Darjeeling. This small town is a tropical paradise for visitors. In Mirik the visitors can see several nature spots, includes the wild flowers, lovely lake and prosperous forests of Cryptomaria Japanica trees. There are many tea estates, orange orchards and cardamom plantations in Mirik.

By Air: The nearest airport is Bagdogra, which is 55km away from Mirik.

By Rail: The nearest Broad guage rail station is new Jalpaiguri, which is 60km away from Mirik. The nearest toy train stations to Mirik are Ghoom (41km), Kurseong (46km) and Darjeeling (49km).

By Road: Mirik is well connected with Siliguri, Kurseong and Darjeeling.
