MOKOKCHUNG, JAN17 [NPN]: The Tourist Lodge Mokokchung which was refurbished was dedicated by Rev. Luin Jamir pastor of MTBA recently. Under new management since it was privatized, the Mokokchung Tourist Lodge offers a new complete comfort for boarders particularly tourists, the Lodge offers Internet connections, TV with cable connection,Mokokchung telephone, electricity back up and various other services thereby making it a 3 star standard lodge in the town.
Besides these facilities, it offers a huge range of cuisines to cater to the taste of the costumers. Speaking at the dedicatory program, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Administrator of Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC), Z. Nyusietho Nyuthe said that the people of Mokokchung
should be grateful for having such a standard lodge and that it should be taken as a pride of the town.
He also called upon the people to understand that by privatizing the lodge, it is making all efforts for the complete comfort of the people / customers not only for tourists but also for the people of the town. The President of Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industries, M. Bendangnukshi Longkumer also delivered a brief speech at the program. The program was attended by all the members of MMC besides others.
By Air: One can either fly up to Jorhat (Assam) or Dimapur (Nagaland) and take the services as explained above by Roadways to reach Mokokchung. The distance from Jorhat to Mokokchung is 105 Kms via Mariani.
